Pianist

Conductor

Entertainer

Entrepreneur

Inventor

Sonore President and Founder Ned Mills brings years of experience as a performing artist coupled with an inventor's creativity and sensibilities into every facet of development at Sonore. His passion for developing music products that address the needs of working musicians, music educators and music hobbyists alike is what drove him to found Sonore. The intersection of technology, art, and music history has always fascinated Ned, whose grandmother used to play piano at silent movies in the early 1900's.  His own journey in music started at age four in a small town in his home state of North Carolina, when he first began to tickle the ivories.

Today he is an accomplished and versatile pianist, conductor, entertainer, entrepreneur and inventor who has entertained audiences in more than twenty countries on three continents, opening for the likes of greats such as Don Rickles, Bonnie Raitt and Sheryl Crow.  Ned has served as musical conductor for the Ink Spots, the Shirelles, the late Joan Rivers, The Stars of the Lawrence Welk Show, The Shades of Sinatra, the Las Vegas Tenors to name a few.

Ned received his Bachelor of Music cum laude in Jazz Arranging from North Texas State University. His musical arrangements have been performed by the Dallas Jazz Orchestra, The Miss North Carolina Pageant, and in Pizazz starring Debby Boone.  His film and television credits include “Matlock,” Lifetime's “Against Her Will: The Carrie Buck Story” and the George Lucas film “Radicand Murders. He was the piano coach for Halle Berry and Eric Thal in Oprah Winfrey's production of “The Wedding.”

Ned is known for his stellar tributes to Liberace, Jerry Lee Lewis and Andrew Lloyd Webber, which feature his unique musical stage inventions and ideas. He was among the few and fortunate pianists who was handpicked to play one of Liberace's pianos at the grand opening of the iconic and newly renovated Liberace Museum in Las Vegas.  Now a resident of Las Vegas, Ned performs and serves as musical director for many corporate events at every major casino including the MGM Grand, The Venetian, and Mandalay Bay. Ned was voted "Most Likely to Exemplify the Spirit of Las Vegas" by the Las Vegas Chamber of Commerce.
Ned also produced and starred in Piano Follies at the Suncoast Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, featuring  5 grand pianos of his own design, including the world's only 1959 pink Cadillac piano.  Performing under the stage name "Lionardo", his dazzling performances can be found at www.pianofollies.com.
After years of performing, arranging and conducting, producing and inventing, Ned Mills is poised to impact the music industry in new and exicting ways with the advent of his company Sonore, and the products that are in the pipeline.  For him it is not just a company, and not just a job.

As he told reporter Jerry Fink for the Las Vegas Sun, "I have never had another job. I don't know what a 9-to-5 job is like."  For Ned, Sonore is an adventure into untapped areas of creativity, productivity and functionality.
